A new addiction

Whats the best cure for an OC hangover? Gossip Girl! From the same producers of OC comes the hit show of the lives of Manhattan's elite. Looks like Josh Schwartz has shifted his attention from west coast to east coast. Its a great show btw. The characters are either drop-dead gorgeous or stunningly handsome. The music featured on the show is totally awesome, which is hardly a suprise considering the music supervisor is Alex Patsavas, the same lady who worked on OC and Greys anatomy. Her work is amazing. Not to mention the show has a couple cuter than Meredith and Derek on Greys, namely Serena and Dan! I just love that couple on the show. Amazing chemistry. Anyway the storyline so far on Gossip girl has been awesome. Amazing characters, great soundtrack, pretty setting(new york), what more could I ask for?

finally something meaningful

its been a few busy days!

thursday had lunch with my good friend eunice at west coast plaza. this was followed by dinner with the JC people. after dinner we went to settlers for games. poor samuel was our target in the games as he treated his uni friends of 5 months to dinner and not his JC friends 5 years. In the end he paid for the games at settlers.

friday was dinner with the vet science people. after dinner we walked from Bugis to Esplanade. along the way we passed thru chijmes. I had no idea that the place was so big. actually singapore is really pretty at night. we spent some time at the esplanade just enjoying the scenery of the bay. also, there was this ongoing project where u could write your new year/ christmas wishes on a card and hang them on this stands around the esplanade.

finally went back to mount pleasant animal medical centre on sunday. its so nice to be back there and interact with the animals. there were some nice animals and some not so nice ones there. within a day I was nearly bitten by a dog and attacked by a cat. oh well. thats what i can expect next time. the last time i went back during the winter break a kitten sunk its jaws into my finger. but its all worth it. being there is just so much more meaningful than idling at home.

by the way, love actually is showing on TV again tonight.

Back home for a while.

Back in hot and humid singapore. I never ever miss singapore's weather. the humidity is just crazy. the flight back was pretty interesting as at one point the plane flew over ayers rock n the olgas, 2 prominent sandstone formations in central australia. it was visible from air and the pilot circled the plane around them so that everyone could get some nice photos. how cool is that? i never knew they could do this.

the first msg i received minutes after i landed at the airport was that a friend's mum had passed away. So I hurried down to the wake straight from the airport. i never thought i would see my friends within 2 hours of arriving in singapore. its sad we had to meet under such circumstances. life is always unpredictable as always, cherish your family and friends. this is so much more evident now that i'm studying overseas. btw, I have to thank jac for fetching me home at lyk 1am. It was really nice of her.

next day was lunch with richmond at NUH. we talked about guy stuff as always. the med ppl are getting really busy these days with rotations in different specialties. currently rich is on orthopedics, smthing which somehow i am not so keen about. met 3 other friends who were doing medcine in the uni too. i really know alot of future doctors. one of them is a UC senior who is doing his medicine research year in NUS. its a small world out there.

the few days since i came back have been so busy. guess i'll just rest over the next few days and enjoy some nice singapore food. that is something abou singapore that i always miss.
