Not a good day.

Past few weeks been pretty mundane. I don't think I might be getting a job after all. There's so little time I leave for Australia in mid Feb. So right now I'm just volunteering at the vet clinic. As I always say, there's something new each time I go there, something to learn. That's why I never tire of going there.

Today was one of those days which weren't that good. Lost a patient to anesthesia complications, something I never really thought could happen. After seeing numerous succesful surgeries where there was no adverse reactions to anesthtics, I guess its easy to feel like the risks don't exist. This case proves there is always that tiniest possibility of complications. Now I understand why there shoud always monitoring of anesthesia. One certainly cannot be complacent or lives could be lost. But least I learnt an important lesson, one which I will remember well.
